Bay Sie Lim, Ph.D. is the CEO and Co-Founder of Acoerela. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Western Australia in Biomedical Science. She has 7 years of commercial and business development experience in the life sciences managing sales, vital regional accounts and channel partners.
Azzah Alsagoff
Research Scientist
Azzah holds a Masters by Research (MScR) in Reproductive Sciences from The University of Edinburgh. Leveraging expertise in cell culture, flow cytometry, and other biolab techniques, she actively conducts product testing and research experiments at Acoerela. She contributes by playing a key role in optimizing product development and ensuring top-notch quality.
Aryan Ahuja
Strategic Development Consultant
Aryan is a graduate from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with a Bachelor of Business specialising in Marketing. Being extremely passionate about entrepreneurship and start-ups, Aryan helps in business growth through market research and identification of new partnerships as well as collaborative opportunities for Acoerela.
Ankitha Channabasappa
Scientific Technical Development Manager
Ankitha holds a Master of Engineering (Biotechnology) degree from BITS-Pilani, complemented by participation in an Accelerated Management Program at the National University of Singapore. Equipped with 7 years of R&D experience in the life sciences industry, she drives Acoerela’s scientific & technical initiatives to provide the best-in-class, innovative solutions to the customers.
Prof Guillermo Bazan
Scientific Advisor
Professor Guillermo Bazan is the Scientific Advisor and Co-Founder of Acoerela. He holds a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a world leader in materials science with over 780 publications and an h-index of 123. He has a successful track record in dye commercialization as he previously co-founded Sirigen, which was subsequently acquired and commercialized by Becton Dickinson. He is also the co-founder of Xiretsa, a biotechnology company focused on developing new antimicrobial agents.
Ariel Lee
Operations Manager
Ariel holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Biological Sciences from Nanyang Technological University. With her prior experience in laboratory and project management, she optimises Acoerela’s day-to-day operations and implements systems to drive efficiency, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
John Tigges
Director of Technology Development
John C Tigges is Principal Associate in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and the Director of the Flow Cytometry Science Center and Center for Extracellular Vesicle Research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Boston, MA. He has over 25 years experience in Flow Cytometry and Core facility management. In the past 10 years, his research has focused on extracellular vesicles and particularly nano-flow cytometry.
Wendy Wen Yi Leong, PH.D.
IP ADVISOR
Wendy holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Nanyang Technological University and is an adjunct Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore. She has 10+ years of experience in IP strategy, portfolio management, drafting and worldwide prosecution of patent applications, and 10 years of research experience. She is passionate about increasing awareness about IP and unlocking value from IP.
