Bay Sie holds a Ph.D. from the University of Western Australia in Biomedical Science. She has 7 years of commercial and business development experience in the life sciences managing sales, vital regional accounts and channel partners.
Ariel Lee
Operations Manager
Ariel holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Biological Sciences from Nanyang Technological University. With her prior experience in laboratory and project management, she optimises Acoerela’s day-to-day operations and implements systems to drive efficiency, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Ankitha Channabasappa
Scientific Technical Development Manager
Ankitha holds a Master of Engineering (Biotechnology) degree from BITS-Pilani, complemented by participation in an Accelerated Management Program at the National University of Singapore. Equipped with 7 years of R&D experience in the life sciences industry, she drives Acoerela’s scientific & technical initiatives to provide the best-in-class, innovative solutions to the customers.
Eng Teng Yeo
Research Officer
Eng Teng holds a BSc in Chemistry and Biological Chemistry from Nanyang Technological University. Supported by previous experiences in chemical dye synthesis and dye bioapplications, she excels in product quality control and R&D experiments at Acoerela. This warrants the quality of Acoerela's product development to be at its finest and beyond.
Prof Guillermo Bazan
Scientific Advisor & CO-FOUNDER
Professor Guillermo Bazan holds a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a world leader in materials science with over 780 publications and an h-index of 123. He has a successful track record in dye commercialization as he previously co-founded Sirigen, which was subsequently acquired and commercialized by Becton Dickinson. He is also the co-founder of Xiretsa, a biotechnology company focused on developing new antimicrobial agents.

Aryan is a graduate from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with a Bachelor of Business with a specialisation in Marketing. Being extremely passionate about entrepreneurship and start-ups, Aryan helps in business growth through market research and identification of new partnerships as well as collaborative opportunities for Acoerela.
Wendy Wen Yi Leong, PH.D.
IP ADVISOR
Wendy holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Nanyang Technological University and is an adjunct Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore. She has 10+ years of experience in IP strategy, portfolio management, drafting and worldwide prosecution of patent applications, and 10 years of research experience. She is passionate about increasing awareness about IP and unlocking value from IP.
Claire H.L. Chang
IP & Business Strategy Advisor
Claire H.L. Chang, Founder and Principal IP Consultant at Sybaris IP, holds both an LL.M. and an M.B.A., alongside over 15 years of expertise in intellectual property. She has adeptly navigated complex international IP issues across Asia and Europe, encompassing strategy, protection, management, valorisation, and enforcement. Her extensive experience equips her to offer bespoke support for startups and SMEs such as Acoerela, ensuring that their IP protection and valorisation strategies align seamlessly with their business objectives in the competitive global marketplace.
